New Work up at Inertia (Issue # 9)

(cover art by Gabrielle Senza)

The new issue of Inertia is out, featuring work by Dean Kostos, Jeffery Berg, April Ossman, and others.

I'm not so sure I like this issue as much as previous issues. The poems are more straightforward, and not really what I had been expecting. When I received the prompt to this issue, I thought the issue was going to be centered around "erotic" poetry, or poetry that was ballsy and ribald. My poem, Intercourse, feels somewhat out of place. I was also prompted to go in the minimalist direction--which I did. The other poems in #9 are lengthy and, for the most part, linear.

Regardless, I still think Inertia is a fine magazine, and I'm very glad to be a part of it. So I stick out like the proverbial sore thumb! That's not necessarily a bad thing.
